Lab Card Access

DOOR CARD ACCESS PROGRAM DISTRIBUTION PROTOCOL

A student receives a door access card as instructed below:

  1. Student arrives at the William Small Centre (222 William Small Centre, 155 Campus Walk)
  2. Student must fill out the door access application form, which is located in the information area between the security window and the parking wickets.
  3. Student pulls a ticket number from the ticket dispenser; the student must press button F on the dispenser for Door Card Service.  Once they have their ticket, there is a LCD monitor hanging above the wickets that will indicate which wicket is serving the next number in queue.
  4. When the student meets with the customer service representative (CSR), they will have to provide their student number as well as a valid form of photo identification.
  5. The CSR will then issue a door access card if the student meets the required criteria (i.e. they don't already have a card, they provided the proper information, etc).  It is important to note that the student must be registered in the course, otherwise, their card will not work.
  6. The student is then required to log on to their Passport York account and register their card.http://dooraccess.yorku.ca
  7. The CSR will only issue cards to students that are enrolled in courses that are participating in the program.  For example, if MATH 2020 is a course that is participating in the program, a student that is enrolled in MATH 2030 may not receive a card (unless MATH 2030 is also participating).
